I was trying to use solver add-in and I found it not working. To be specific, I could not select cells while running the solver. After I inputted the cells manually and selected 'solve'. An error window showed saying that: -MicrosoftExcelCell select: unrecognized selector sent to instance 0x7e1c6de0 During the whole process, my laptop reacted quite slow. If the Solver folks have handed the problem over to Microsoft, it is still really the Solver company's problem to take care of. After all, Solver is their product. Microsoft has offered to help vendors overcome the tremendous obstacles built into Office 2016 regarding VBA and programmability. I think what the Solver people are trying to say is that until Microsoft comes up with a way to get things working again, Solver is broken in Excel 2016.
